Hi there! If you’re new here, welcome—it’s so nice to meet you. And if you’ve been visiting for a while, I’m so glad to have you back!

Our Story

I’m Kim—the heart behind Free Dish Recipes. I write the posts, cook the meals, craft the recipes, and take the photos that bring each dish to life. The one job I don’t do alone? Taste-testing. That’s a team effort shared between me, my husband, and our two amazing kids!

Every recipe I publish has a story. Some are born from a spontaneous craving, others come from the hustle of weeknight meal planning, and occasionally I feature recipes created in partnership with brands I truly trust and use at home. But no matter where the idea comes from, if it’s here—it’s because I genuinely believe it’s worth sharing.

Life Right Now

As a mom juggling a full schedule of work, school drop-offs, sports, and more, I get how chaotic daily life can be. That’s exactly why I launched Free Dish Recipes: to offer quick, approachable meals that are perfect for busy families and still full of flavor.

From slow cooker comfort foods and kid-approved snacks to cozy weekend bakes and easy one-pan dinners, everything you find here is meant to make your life in the kitchen easier and more enjoyable. Whether you’re feeding a picky toddler or hosting your in-laws for Sunday dinner, I’ve got you covered.

My hope is that this space becomes a go-to for you—that the recipes here help create those moments around the table that turn into cherished memories.

My Mission

My passion has always been to show that home cooking doesn’t need to be stressful or time-consuming. I believe anyone can make a delicious meal with the right recipe, a little confidence, and maybe a bit of help from someone who’s been there.

Sure, dining out is fun—but there’s something truly magical about sharing a homemade meal at your own table. It’s where conversations happen, where traditions start, and where bonds grow stronger.

The sign in my kitchen says it all: Good food brings people together. And my goal is to help you do just that.
